Be Strong And Courageous

It’s been a while. I am reblogging this here from my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope you’ll find time to visit it to.

My gosh, I got so excited when I saw it.  There are several designs actually and all with Biblical passages. One of the vendors in our  subdivision is selling them. Although I have lots of cloth face masks,  I’ve been using one since I was operated on eleven years ago, I bought this because I love the message it conveys.

I may not have the chance to use it, I have more than a dozen washable face masks here and also N-95 and  ordinary surgical masks.  I like looking at it and  I am uplifted by its message.

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!

What A Surprise!

I can’t believe I haven’t touched and visited this blog like forever (an exaggeration of course) but I was so focused on updating my main blog so I forgot about this.

Early this morning while I was watering the plants, I looked up at our jackfruit trees and saw this.

I was hoping I could still use it for ginatang langka  (a young jackfruit cooked in coconut cream) but it was already so big to use it as a veggie. I would just let it  ripen. Maybe in a month o two, we could harvest it.

These trees usually bear fruits during the summer months but this one appeared quite early. Just  lucky and blessed I guess.

Good morning friends!

Lato, Anyone?

Gosh, I can’t believe it’s been almost a year now since I posted something here. I am always updated with my main blog though, a link of which is attached here.

Sharing this photo I took yesterday, we locally call it Lato salad, a appetizer. I love seaweeds and I buy them once in a while fresh from the wet market.

He Is A Big Boy Now

Nonna’s joy. I think this is the second  time I posted a picture of my grandson here.

He is turning six this coming November. Time flies.  Happy Grandparents’ Day to all proud grandparents like I am.

Something To Think About

Gosh. I haven’t updated this site for so long concentrating instead on my main blog Dreams and Escapes.  I hope I would be able to post more in the coming days.

My Garden Blooms

This is just my 89th post after three years of blogging. But I have always been updated with my main blog. You can find the link here on the right corner of the blog.

I’ve recently took shots of our garden blooms. Summer is here and more blooms  could be seen.

My Ruellias used to be in purple shade only but lately, there are pnk and white blooms too.

My Adenium is beginning to show those lovely flowers in deep pink.

My orange Bougainvillea. I’ve never been successful in replanting such plant. We have one in pink at the corner outside our perimeter wall but since it was cut by the subdivision maintenance, it hasn’t flowered yet.

Vinca – planted from seeds a few months ago.

A more robust Vinca flowers. They self-propagate.

My Crossandra blooms are everywhere in the garden.

Hydrangea flowers are so lovely. The blooms are in a lovely shade of blue when I bought the pot.

Additional flowers turned into soft pink.

Did you know that the color of the hydrangea flowers change depending on the pH of the soil used?
In strongly acid soil (pH below 6), flowers turn blue. In alkaline soil (pH above 7), flowers turn pink or even red.

I started planting Zinnia again. this is a mini-Zinnia planted from seeds.

Msarigold is one of the loveliest colors in the garden but it has to be in partial shade, otherwise, the leaves would dry out under the heat of the sun.

You can find Mayanas in so many arresting colors but this one is just green. I wish I could find other colors again. Put them in a shaded area and they will thrive and give you those lovely blooms.

On Mums And Blogging

I love mums in all its different colors.  It’s one thing that I once attempted to grow in my garden but it didn’t survive.  It is a hardy flower though and need full sun and well-draining soil.

I actually bought this cluster in a pot and it was expensive but it didn’t last long.

My gosh, here I go again. Has it been really that long since I visited this site?  As usual I got more engrossed updating my main site Dreams and Escapes where I reached another milestone of total stats of more than that 500,000  last October 30, 2017. Presently, it registered a total of  500,426.  May I invite you all to visit it too? I posted a link here  that you can just click.

Thank you so much.

Glimpse Of Heaven

Oh my goodness, I was busy keeping my main site updated that I clearly forgot to visit this blog for quite a while.  Shame on me.

I miss those times we used to go on road trips  and discover places. I miss those days just  driving around and seeing those beautiful and lovely views of the countryside. Since I got sick, my immunity has become a little low that I was afraid to go out in far places with so many people. I only go the malls when we do some grocery shopping and when I need to buy something for the family and for my grandson.  I have to always wear a face mask when I go out because of pollution outside.

I miss places like this, rice fields as far as the eyes can see.  It’s like a glimpse of heaven.

Good Morning

It’s been a while  since I updated this blog. I am more focused on my main blog Dreams and Escapes updating it almost every day that I clearly forgot to update this site.

Good morning everyone!

My Gardenia Blooms

These flowers used to be permanent fixtures in my small garden. I had the lone shrub for years and it produces such lovely white flowers  every year. Some months ago, the leaves slowly turned yellow then they dried up to brittle brown ones. This afternoon, my son and I decided to finally put it to rest so what is left now is a small stump  of the trunk.

My gardenia is gone. All I have left are random photos  of its flowers. Funny but I still could smell their heady scents from here.
