It’s been a while. I am reblogging this here from my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope you’ll find time to visit it to.
My gosh, I got so excited when I saw it. There are several designs actually and all with Biblical passages. One of the vendors in our subdivision is selling them. Although I have lots of cloth face masks, I’ve been using one since I was operated on eleven years ago, I bought this because I love the message it conveys.
I may not have the chance to use it, I have more than a dozen washable face masks here and also N-95 and ordinary surgical masks. I like looking at it and I am uplifted by its message.
BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!
I remember a hundred lovely lakes, and recall the fragrant breath of pine and fir and cedar and poplar trees. The trail has strung upon it, as upon a thread of silk, opalescent dawns and saffron sunsets. It has
given me blessed release from care and worry and the troubled thinking of our modern day. It has been a return to the primitive and the peaceful. Whenever the pressure of our complex city life thins my blood and benumbs my brain, I seek relief in the trail; and when I hear the coyote wailing to the yellow dawn, my cares fall from me – I am happy.
~Hamlin Garland, McClure’s, February 1899
“Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding. Find out what you already know and you will see the way to fly.” – Richard Bach
A friend said that this is one of my best shots. And I thought the composition was not good, I was only trying to capture the clouds rapidly changing course while passing through my lens. Then came this bird gliding rapidly, making itself framed inside the tie wires which we used as trellis at the back of the house. This is a raw shot and it reminds me of how it is to be free, unhampered by any extra baggage, reaching one’s destination by sheer determination and grace. It is the art of flying.
– Waking up to the song of a sparrow
outside your window
– Feeling the cold breeze that gently bites
– A cup of hot black coffee
– Freshly baked pandesal
– A visit to the garden
– Discovering new blooms
– Raindrops lingering on the bright
– The fresh look of the garden
on a cold morning
– Watching the day unfolds
– Seeing a patch of blue
in a cloudy sky
– Turning the pages of a favorite book
You see, life is simple
And happiness could be just within your reach.
